Mystery to Me, originally recorded in November of 2004 at Manhattan Center Studios in New York City in front of a live studio audience, gets a new lease on life with this 20th anniversary vinyl edition.
The album features Jojo Mayer - Drums, Mark Turner - Sax, John Ellis - Sax/Bass Clarinet, Gretchen Parlato - Vocals, Tim Miller - Guitar, Elliot Mason Trombone/Bass Trumpet/Keyboards, Gregoire Maret - Harmonica and Tim Miller - Guitar.
I've re-recorded all the bass on the album to give a fresh take on these parts from two decades ago, and updated the sounds in terms of the library of pedals I now have available to me compared to the limited resources I was working with back then.
The album has been re-mixed and re-mastered, and features as much of the original album as we could fit on a standard 44 minute 12-inch LP.
